INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS GRADUATING IN THE 2023/2024/2 SPRING SEMESTER

Dear Graduating Student,

Since you registered for the Final Examination in Neptun, we are informing you about the prerequisites of taking the Final Examination and your administrative duties in connection with obtaining your diploma.

The Final Examinations are organised between 23rd May – 28th June 2024 with personal presence.

We call your attention to the fact that obtaining a pre-degree certificate (abszolutórium)* is the prerequisite of taking the Final Examination. In case your student status is still active, we strongly suggest that you schedule your exams for early enough to be able to obtain all your grades at least three business days prior to your Final Exam date. Students are kindly asked to double-check whether all their grades are entered in Neptun. Please note that you also have to receive a grade/signature for the ‘Thesis writing’/‘Tutorial seminar’/‘Consultation, individual Thesis preparation’ course (in case your curriculum in Neptun contains this kind of course).

In case you have to submit a credit transfer request to obtain your absolutorium, please read the guide on the faculty website about the deadlines and the submission process: here

We would like to bring to your attention that processing your credit transfer request may take some time. In the case of so-called “technical requests” where the Credit transfer Committee does not discuss the request, the processing time is at least three business days. In the case of other requests, which must be discussed by the Credit transfer Committee, the processing time is at least five business days.

* “abszolutórium” = Completion of all the compulsory courses listed in the curriculum of your study programme. This is NOT a separate certificate, it just means that your student status is changed to “absolved” in Neptun.  This also means that you will automatically lose your active student status. If, for any personal reason, you do not take your Final Examination and submit your Thesis in the same semester in which you obtain your pre-degree certificate (abszolutórium), later you will only be able to obtain your Diploma as a non-active student (within the deadline indicated in the Academic Regulations).

Please contact your study coordinator via email (kertesz.emese@btk.elte.hu), as soon as your last grade is entered in Neptun.

Please take the following information into consideration:

  1. The Final Exam schedules are made by the institute/department responsible for your study programme.
  2. The Final Examination schedule, after received from the responsible institute/department, will be published on the faculty website by the Office of Educational Affairs on 16th May 2024.

Please note that you find your Final Exam date and venue in the exam schedule table based on your Education ID. You find your Education ID in Neptun under My data/Personal information.
