comparatistics

I began my scientific work in the 1990s, primarily by exploring the literary values of 20th century Hungarian and Slovak literature. After that, my interest gradually shifted to Central European National Literatures. Through comparative research methods, I tried to compare the common features of Central European National Literatures with Western European literary structures.

catholic literature

I consider  the 19th and 20th-century European Catholic literature to be my ongoing research topic, and I have published a monograph in Czech and Hungarian on this topic

Oeuvre by Ján Kollár, national revival of the 19th century

In the first decade of the 2000s, the primary focus of my research was Ján Kollár's literary work, national engagement, and reception of the history of ideas. Hence, in a broader context, I began to deal with the process of nationalization in Central Europe in the early 19th century and with the formation of national cultural canons.
