Successful participation in one of the workshops on digital humanities is a prerequisite for the complex exam for PhD students who have been admitted to the Faculty of Humanities at ELTE after September 2019.

The Institute of Library and Information Science offers the courses every academic term.

Students enrolled on Hungarian-language programmes can register in Neptun using the course code HUN, whilst those on English-language programmes should use the code ENG to enrol on the course ‘BTKD-DIGI-001 Digital Humanities Workshop for PhD Students’.

Registered students will have access to the range of optional workshops via a Microsoft Teams group; they must complete one of these during the semester in order to be eligible to sit the comprehensive examination at the end of the first stage of the programme.

The optional topics include publication skills, network science, handwriting recognition using AI tools, prompt engineering, etc.
