Information regarding requests to be submitted to the Educational Committee

1. Deadlines and Neptun Forms

Requests to be discussed by the Educational Committee of the Faculty of Humanities must be submitted electronically within the period specified in the Academic Calendar.

Since the decisions are made at the committee meeting, modifying the submission deadline or submitting requests after the deadline is not possible

The following requests can be submitted through Neptun, under Administration/Requests/Available request forms:

  • Request for 4th or further course registration
  • Request for the weakening of strong prerequisite
  • Request for extending the suspension of student status (3rd or further consecutive passive semesters)

The Educational Committee of the Faculty of Humanities makes decisions only on subjects managed by the faculty.

For requests concerning subjects managed by other faculties, the request must be submitted according to the procedure and by the deadline specified by the responsible faculty.

2. Preliminary review (support) of the responsible institute/department

Students are required to have their requests preliminarily reviewed (supported) by the head of the organizational unit (head of institute/head of department and/or the programme director) responsible for their study programme in the following cases:

  • Request for 4th or further course registration
  • Request for weakening of strong prerequisite

You can obtain the preliminary review (supporting email) of the responsible institute/department the following way:

  • Contact the responsible person (head of institute /head of department and/or the programme director) via email.
  • Take a screenshot of their reply email.

Requests, that lack the mandatory institutional/departmental review (support email), will be automatically rejected by the Educational Committee without substantive examination.

3. Submitting Requests

You have to fill in the relevant request in Neptun under Administration/Requests/Available request forms, and upload all the possible attachments and the screenshot of the reply email you received from the institute/debarment (institutional/departmental review/approval).

4. Viewing the Decision on the Request

The decisions made by the Educational Committee will be available in Neptun under Administration/Requests/Submitted requests: click on the + sign next to the relevant request form and select “View resolution”.
