The study of modern Chinese political language and discourse from linguistic, rhetorical, and translation-studies perspectives. The research focuses on the linguistic and rhetorical features of Chinese political texts, their key concepts and communication strategies, as well as their translation into Hungarian and other languages. In addition to qualitative discourse-analytical methods, the research also applies corpus-linguistic and computational text-analysis approaches.

An interdisciplinary study of the social, linguistic, and cultural experiences of Chinese migrants and their descendants living in Hungary. The main areas of research include language use and multilingualism, language-learning motivation, individual and community identity, and religious and spiritual life. Particular attention is paid to intergenerational differences, attachments to Chinese and Hungarian society, and the role of diaspora and religious communities.

The theoretical and empirical study of the teaching and learning of Chinese as a foreign language, with particular emphasis on language-learning motivation and affective factors. The research focuses on changes in learner motivation, foreign language anxiety, self-confidence, enjoyment and other emotional factors, as well as the development of intercultural competence. It also examines methodological issues in Chinese language teaching and longitudinal changes in learners’ experiences.
