ELTE King Sejong Institute invites to the public lecture by Dr. Kim Seongjin (Duksung Women’s University Seoul).

If Korea is the only country that becomes a donor country among beneficiaries of international ODA program. In the dynamics of K-pop, K-drama, K-food and other K-phenomena, Korea shares its concerns and experiences of social development, seeking a global cooperation for a better world, and thus a better future. Women issues certainly have mirrored Korean history and Korean way of thinking, and Korea’s concern for the future.

In the lecture, the changing status of women in terms of institutional changes and women’s socio-economic participation in Korea. In the lecture lives of women in the 16th through Hu Chohee, a female writer, to women’s in 20th and 21st centuries will be discussed in exploration of implications of such diverse lives in Korean history.
