Collective Intentionality workshop
The central topic of the workshop is the phenomenon of collective intentionality, or, in other words, our capacity to relate to different things and matters collectively, as a member of a collective, cohesive, coherent group. In this regard it is special importance for the participants of the workshop that how this collective intentionality is exactly constituted?
Do personal, face-to-face relations come first, and group identity and collective intentionality are constituted on the basis of the former, or the case is just the opposite: do we conceive ourselves as a part of a larger group from the very beginning, and do we approach other people already on the basis of this collective identity? Participants of the workshop seek answers to questions like this, and related problems.
