Nomination of incoming students
International candidates intending to study at the ELTE Faculty of Humanities through the Erasmus+ for studies or other exchange programmes shall be officially selected and nominated by their home institution.
Nomination procedure for partner institutions
The Faculty of Humanities accepts online nominations only. Nominations sent via email will not be processed.
Official nominations for Erasmus+ studies are to be submitted through the Mobility-Online platform. Due to a recent nomination platform migration, the nomination period for the 2026/27 academic year (full year and autumn semester) will open in early April. Partner institutions will be provided with the necessary nomination links via email. If your institution has not received the relevant link until April, please request it by contacting the Erasmus Office at incoming@elte.hu.
Important: For all other exchange programmes (e.g., Erasmus+ ICM, Bilateral exchanges, CEEPUS scholarship holders, Makovecz Ösztöndíjprogram, Hunyadi János Ösztöndíj, Tempus scholarship holders, and other exchange programmes), nominations must be submitted according to the previously implemented practices.
Nomination deadlines:
- Autumn semester (2026/27/1) or Full academic year (2026/27): early April (soon to be announced) – 10 May
- Spring semester (2026/27/2): 1 October – 10 November
Upon successful submission, the platform issues an automatic confirmation email to the home coordinator, while the student is notified that their nomination is under review. The Erasmus Office evaluates all submissions and will contact the home institution should any clarification be required.
Selection results and student registration
Official notification regarding the result of the nomination (including acceptance status and further administrative instructions) will be sent to students via email latest by the end of May (for the autumn semester) or the end of November (for the spring semester).
Once a nomination has been officially accepted, students must follow the instructions provided in their acceptance email to register on the Mobility-Online platform. The student's Registration Form must be fully completed by the following deadlines:
- Autumn semester or Full academic year: 31 May
- Spring semester: 30 November
General Academic Requirements
Incoming exchange students are expected to meet the following faculty requirements:
- Language requirement: At least intermediate knowledge of the relevant foreign language (B2).
- Minimum requirement for incoming students: Students are required to obtain a minimum of 20 ECTS credits per semester, or the amount specifically required by their home institution.
